Spring Photos

Here we go... more pictures...

This probably does not need a lot of description. Our girl loves sitting on the toilet!

Reading with Papa - this is the Chicken book with lots of fancy chickens. She loves it.

At Ladybird Wildflower Center with Denny's family

One of the requisite pictures in the bluebonnets. Texas state law apparently requires this picture of every child, preferably on the embankment of a dangerous highway. Yes, the lighting is terrible... sorry.

Walking around... getting a little tired.

Spring dress! And, yes, still bad lighting.

Our pretty little spring-time girl

More photos!

More pictures are finally here!!!

Let's start with something peaceful. This was taken when we were visiting Aunt Honey (Denny's sister) over Christmas. I can promise you that this peace didn't last too long...

I think she just wanted the camera here. It has become a problem when trying to take cute photos. Distraction is the key.

Loves Poppy's hat.

This was at Michelle's birthday. Quite rambunctious that evening.

I think we were at Threadgill's the same night (Michelle's birthday)

Notice - wallet is the distraction here.

Does someone think she's too cute?

Distraction = keys

Dang! I think she may be on to me...

Oh well, I still have the keys!

Teaser... 15 months

Well, I am woefully behind in posting pictures of our dear Miss Zella Mae, and I know this post only has one photo. This one was taken about 1 month ago. I promise...more to come soon...

11 1/2 Months

I have to begin by apologizing for the delay in getting this update posted. As most of you know, work on my dissertation has taken up every free moment that I'm not teaching or taking care of our little Miss Zella. The good news is that we were at least taking pictures along the way. The ones posted below are probably out of order, but just getting them up here is a big enough accomplishment for me right now. I also have some videos that I will try to post in the next day or two. Enjoy!

My adorable outfit from Oma Joanne.

Here I am with all of the dolls from Germany & Hungary that my Oma sent as well.

Group shot with Gretel, me, Hansel, & Katarina (her "baby doll"). Katarina's outfit is actually much more intricate and beautiful, but the bling pieces had to be stored away while I'm still in my "chew on everything" phase.

Just tidying up a bit.

Outside touch Poppy's bougainvillea plant, wearing my dress from Nana K.

I LOVE Hansel!

Having lunch with Pops & Nana K in Galveston.

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.

Seriously... help me!

Catching a bit of sun with Daddy. Notice how I maneuvered to get the best lighting.

Wearing my Halloween costume to school.

Woo-hoo... first time on a swing!

All of the pictures below are from a photo session we did with Zella this past Saturday. I can promise you that this child smiles all the time, but sign her up for professional photos and she suddenly turns into Stoic Sally. We had the hardest time coaxing a smile out of her. She was obviously the cutest child there, hands down, and the pictures turned out great (we think).
