It's been way too long since I've updated Zella's blog, which is a huge understatement. Well, here are some of our favorite images from the past year. (not in chronological order).

Summer at the pool.
We had a great time in the pool this summer. Zella is learning to be quite the swimmer.
Zella and Daddy cooling off after a summer of brutal triple digit temps.
Zella loves to be tossed in the air. She is in training to become her Papi's official roller-coaster partner.

Since Halloween
Finally... more pictures, for those who are still staying tuned. These go from most recent to oldest (although, they only go up through January). I'll try to get more pictures posted soon (eh... who am I kidding?).
These first ones were in Costa Rica this past January. I am in jeans because Denny & Zella are about to take me to the airport. There is probably no need to explain that, but I was wondering myself when I first looked back at the picture.
These next few are from Christmas. Nana D & Papa came to visit and I think this one and the next one were taken on Christmas morning/day.
These are from her birthday. We were not going for a goth look - we just got lucky with black icing on the birthday cake. Lesson learned.

Halloween!
Zella was originally going to go as a bee because she has a favorite bee stuffed animal and her beloved bee backpack. We momentarily thought about sending her as a garden gnome, but then came across the Wonder Woman costume - she loves her Wonder Woman t-shirt and it all just seemed so fitting.
The wig is from a Halloween costume that Stephen wore years ago - yes, it was a mistake that I will never repeat! Anyways, we thought it would be fun and funny to let Zella try it on. She really liked it at first, but then it got a bit itchy and hot. So, as you can see further below, she didn't actually wear it out to go trick-or-treating. I think part of it was that she didn't want to feel encumbered in any way. If she could make a profession out of trick-or-treating, she would no doubt be at the top of her field. This girl has found her calling in life!
Trying on the wig at home. Notice the waist-high boots that are only supposed to go just over her knees.
At the G-spot (a friend's house in Hyde Park), she learns how to play the accordion from Drew (the accordion's name is Darren, for some reason).
